The meaning of vacuum is the state of the gas below a barometric pressure in a given space, which is a physical phenomenon. In "Void", the sound cannot be transmitted because there is no medium, but the transmission of electromagnetic waves is not affected by the vacuum. In fact, in vacuum technology, the vacuum system is directed to the atmosphere, and part of the material inside a specific space is discharged to make the pressure less than a standard atmospheric pressure. We generally refer to this space as vacuum or vacuum. Vacuum is commonly used as Pascal or Torr as a unit of pressure. In the natural environment, only outer space is the space closest to vacuum.


In 1641, the Italian mathematician Tori Split was filled with mercury in a long tube, and then slowly inverted the nozzle into a basin filled with mercury. The end of the mercury column in the tube was 76 cm high. At this time, the mercury-free zone at the top of the glass tube is in a vacuum state. This experiment is the "Tori Phillips Experiment", and the glass tube for the experiment is "Tori Split Tube".


When Einstein used the field theory to study the gravitational phenomenon, he realized that the vacuum concept of empty space is problematic. He once suggested that vacuum is a special state of gravitational field. The first to give vacuum to the new physical content is P.A.M. Dirac. In 1930, in order to get rid of the dilemma of the negative energy solution of the Dirac equation, Dirac proposed that the vacuum is an electronic sea full of negative energy states.
